Third-party lab testing is when a private party not affiliated with the manufacturer or distributor performs a scientific analysis of a product. With a lack of federal regulation, there is no standardized process for testing CBD. Third-party lab testing provides a neutral, unbiased source of information and the most transparent method to ensure product quality. With an independent test, companies that manufacture CBD can’t alter in-house results or publish inaccurate information.
